A free orthodontic consultation at Garcia Orthodontics is a no-obligation first visit. You get digital records such as 3D X-rays and an iTero scan, talk through your goals with Dr. Garcia, and leave knowing your options, timeline and financing.
Plenty of Miami families search for a free consultation and then hesitate, because they are not sure what actually happens or whether they will feel pressured to sign up that day. The consult is meant to answer questions, not to sell. If you know what each part of the visit involves, it is much easier to walk in relaxed and walk out with a clear decision about what comes next. This guide covers the whole appointment, from check-in at our Kendall office to the conversation about cost.
What Happens When You Arrive for Your Consultation?
Check-in at our Kendall office
Our office is at 11400 N. Kendall Dr., Suite 105, in Miami. When you arrive, the front desk team checks you in and helps with any new-patient paperwork. If you are bringing a child, this is a good moment to mention if they are nervous; the team is used to helping kids feel at home. You can read more about your first visit before you come.
Getting to know you
At Garcia Orthodontics we like to talk about more than teeth: hobbies, music, food, and most importantly your goals. Understanding what you want your smile to do for you shapes the rest of the consultation. Some patients want straighter front teeth for photos, others want a bite that feels comfortable when they chew, and many want both.
A consult in your language
Dr. Francisco J. Garcia speaks six languages fluently, including English, Spanish and Portuguese, so there is virtually no language barrier between you and a clear explanation. Families who are more comfortable in Spanish can have the whole conversation in Spanish.
Which Records and Scans Are Taken?
3D X-rays
We use 3D X-ray technology that captures a detailed view of the jaw, teeth and facial structures in a single scan. It helps Dr. Garcia see things that are invisible from the outside, like how roots are positioned and how the jaws relate to each other. Learn more on our technology page.
iTero 3D digital model
The iTero scanner builds an accurate 3D model of your teeth without trays of impression putty. That model is used to diagnose crowding, spacing and bite problems, and it becomes the foundation of a treatment plan if you decide to move forward.
A clean, safe environment
Our 5,000-square-foot office uses steam autoclave sterilization for instruments and IQAir air purification units throughout the space. Patients often tell us the office feels fresh and bright, and that matters when you are spending time in the chair.
How Does Dr. Garcia Explain Your Options?
What your teeth and bite need
Dr. Garcia reviews your scans with you and explains what he sees: crowding, gaps, an overbite or underbite, a crossbite, or teeth that simply need small corrections. He will tell you whether treatment makes sense now, or whether it is better to wait and monitor, which is often the case for younger children.
Braces and Invisalign options
Depending on your case, options may include traditional metal braces, clear ceramic braces, gold braces or Invisalign clear aligners. Each works a little differently. Metal braces are durable and cost-effective, ceramic braces are more discreet, gold braces add some personality, and Invisalign aligners are removable and nearly invisible.
A realistic sense of timing
You will get an estimate of how long treatment might take and how often you would come in. Braces patients usually visit every four to six weeks for adjustments, while Invisalign patients have regular progress checks. Timelines depend on the case, so think of this as an honest estimate rather than a promise.
